Week 4- allocated collages- extended orthographic

Image
I was allocated to collate the pedestrian movement. I have attempted to collage them in accordance to the time of pedestrian movement. As a group we have discussed allocations of who will be in charge of what elements of the assessment which for me has come down to the pedestrian movement. We were able to communicate with each other through message & Facebook and discussed time and medium of sharing files and as well as the details of adding names and ids of individuals in the group.

Week 4- Drawings

Week 4 drawings were generated to help the group understand my allocated area which was around the cafe.

Week 3- extended Orthographics- pedestrian movement

The illustrator activity of creating accurate representation of buildings and creating pedestrian movement helped me to further develop understanding of creating shapes more effectively using the path and intersections of lines. This activity also taught me how to control width and variation of curves using width tool. The challenge faced during this activity was the additional shapes that were being selected together when combining lines to create shapes. I have tried to avoid this through locking of layers and occasionally adding in the non essential(not building) shapes after editing of buildings shapes.

Week 3- Drawings- plan/ section/ elevation/ scale

Week 3 activity helped me to understand drawing in scale as well as developing understanding of the structure through drawings

Week 2- Infographics Illustrator work

Week 2 infographics activity using illustrator was fun and informative activity since i have learnt new skills and features i could use through the tutorials. I have especially enjoyed the features where you could join line to form shapes and gaining better understanding of how to use angles features.

week1- photoshop activity

Image
Before After Object/ Subject Week 1 photoshop activity has allowed me to experiment with adobe software and combining images with the aim to blend the object subtly in a attentive manner. Few challenging problems I've faced included the difficulty of fitting in the object with the maximised presence of the photoshop object (the Arc). Another challenge i have faced was the issue of lighting in the provided image considering the nighttime setting in the attached image. Lastly the use of perspective warp was very difficult due to the angled view of the object and the shifting of the pattern on the arc. Overall i enjoyed the process of blending in the object and adjustment of brightness and colours in accordance to the atmosphere of the surrounding environment

week 1 drawing activities allowed me to experiment with different shades and darkness of pencils and other drawing equipment and different ways of drawing including hatching, dotting and etc.
